What I learned about financial aid is that its funds provided to students and families to help pay. I learned that scholarships money don’t have to be paid back. Sometimes students and their parents borrow to help pay college expenses. The repayment usually begins after education is finished.

My senior plan, is to be a better atudent. Try my best. Apply for colleges, apply for finacial aid. pass first semester, and enjoy the holidays. Be prepared for second semester, work harder. Go to prom, enjoy the rest of the year. Hope to get accepted to the colleges of my choice,and Graduate.

What I learned from different colleges

What I learned from researching different colleges is that, you have a lot of requirements, like ACT scores, SAT scores, a high GPA. Living on campus is expensive. I learned that a public four year college charge on average of $7,605 per year in tuition and fees. The cost of a year‘s tuition, plus room and a private college will go from $29,026 per year to $49, 581.

There are many colleges that I have researched. The one that I chose to go to is Texas Women University. I have family who are currently attending there. But the main reason I picked that college was because it has a great nursing program. There are many requirements that this college needs.

The requirements are Graduation from a regionally accredited high school in Texas during the past two years and class ranking which the applicant in the top 25 percent of the applicant’s high school graduating class. ACT and SAT test scores are recommended to ensure proper advising and course placement. Freshmen applying for scholarships are required to submit an ACT or SAT test score. Freshman applicants who do not meet the requirements for Assured Admission are considered for Regular Admission if they meet they meet the requirements. It involves at least a 2.0 high school point average on a 4.0 scale. Have a class ranking in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating class. Scored at least a 1,000 (critical reading and math combined) on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) OR scored 21 or above composite on the American College Testing Program (ACT) and completed at least 14 academic credits of the Recommended Texas High School Curriculum.

Texas Women University is located in three places. Those places are Dallas, Houston, and Denton. It is the largest university for women. TWU serves the citizens of Texas in many important ways, this includes more graduating more new healthcare professionals than any other university in Texas, easing the teacher shortage by placing highly qualified professionals in the classroom, offering a liberal arts-based curriculum that prepares students for success in a global society. Texas Women University is dedicated to excellence through high quality academic programs, research, and creativity.

My major is nursing. The way I will use this in life is by helping people. It’s something that has always been interesting to me. So I am looking forward to accomplish this.

The time I helped another person

The time helped another person, was when I was at the hospital. My grandma was at the hospital, she had woken up one morning not able to breath. So I and my mom would stay with her. Sometimes it was only me with grandma. My mom had to go to work, so right after school I would go straight to the hospital. I would read to grandma, and talk to her about school. She sometimes felt guilty that I had to stay with her, instead of me hanging out with friends. I didn’t mind it. To me it was more important that she had good health again. I could tell she enjoyed having my company, she couldn’t stand being in that room without a familiar face. She didn’t want to be left alone. It was like this for weeks. It seemed like she was never was going to be let out of the hospital. Everyday I would go to school, come home and get ready to go to the hospital, while my mom left for work. My dad would get out of work at 9:00 pm, which was the time I would leave from the hospital. One of those nights on our way home my dad told me how proud of me he was. For spending time with my grandma, while he and my mom worked. I realized how much of a big help I was being to the whole family and not just my grandma.

I Believe

I believe in karma. I think that karma is a big part of life. To me karma happens everyday in life. I believe that for every piece of gum that you throw on the ground, you will step in a piece of gum. Karma is a rule that you should live by. In my opinion following karmas beliefs make you a better person and the world a better place. Some people don’t believe in it, but then they asked themselves why this did happen to me? Or why am I so lucky? It all revolves around karma. You always get what you give. Nobody’s perfect in life, but it’s always good to think about your actions and know why something good or bad happen to you. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Do good things and good things will come on the way. Karma is always around. Always think if the decision you’re making is the right one. Ask yourself is this going to hurt or change anyone? , what will the consequences be later on for me. It could also be the other way around if I do this it might help someone. Something better will come later on. So always think about what you’re doing, because what goes around comes around.

How my writing has improved throughout the year

I feel that my writing has improved throughout the year. What helped me the most was writing the essays. The essays allowed me to put down my thoughts and feelings about a situation. Most of these essays involved arguments and whether you were for or against it.

It was challenging. But the more challenge, the stronger writer you become. What I improved in the most was on an introduction of an essay. That has always been a weakness of mine. On how to start of the writing, how to keep the reader and tell them the main idea of the essay.

I would say what the one thing that improved my writing was the death penalty essay. I said why it should be abolished I gave my thoughts and opinions, and the why it needs to be abolished. I think that made me a better writer.
